Unlike the lumber from most hemlocks douglas fir timber boasts remarkable uniformity of appearance. We offer a full sawn 2 trim board dried and re textured on four sides. The face of the panel is manufactured using a select douglas fir veneer that is excellent for further finishing. Warm red and blonde tones with varied knots make this a great rustic siding.

In quartersawn pieces the grain is typically straight and plain. As one of the most common species in american forests douglas fir is strong and straight grained. With its tight know pattern premium douglas fir is a beautiful wood to use exposed. These siding are offered with a re sawn texture however many prefer our hand hewn or wire brushed textures.

In flatsawn pieces typically seen in rotary sliced veneers the wood can exhibit wild grain patterns. Rough sawn textured with 8 in on center grooves for a beautiful rustic appearance the inner core of the panel is made from strong western softwood veneers and fully water resistant nauf phenolic resin douglas fir siding provides a more traditional vertical siding look.
